Kathy Becker, a former Head of School from the great state of Arizona, has worked for the last nine years with schools across the nation, training teachers and advising heads of schools in the use of classical curriculum. Her greatest joy is assisting start-up schools and encouraging teachers.
This workshop presents the benefits of poetry beginning in the early years and continuing throughout a student’s education, covering poets including Stevenson, Dickinson, and Longfellow, and reviewing poetry presented across the grammar, logic, and rhetoric stages.
