Practicums

For those with a special interest or focused area of growth

Practicums are designed to give you something more than a session. These are hands-on, focused learning environments where you can sharpen specific skills, engage deeply with experienced educators, and walk away with tools you can use immediately in your classroom or school. In 2026, we are offering two practicum options. Each one is built for a different kind of growth, but both are rooted in the same goal: strengthening teachers and leaders for the work of classical Christian education.

Teaching Lab Practicum

Learn to evaluate, refine, and strengthen classroom instruction

This practicum is designed for educators and administrators who want to better understand what makes a lesson effective and how to help others grow in their teaching. Through guided observation, simulation, and feedback, participants will develop a clearer eye for classroom excellence and gain practical tools for coaching and improvement.

You will not just talk about teaching. You will see it, evaluate it, and practice responding to it in real time.

Pre-conference | Wednesday, June 24 | 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
In-person only

Latin Practicum

Strengthen your Latin classroom with practical, proven methods

This practicum is built for teachers at every level who want to improve how they teach Latin. Whether you are new or experienced, you will gain practical strategies that help you engage both strong and struggling students at the same time.

Participants will work through real classroom challenges, learn how to balance different skill levels, and apply a well-rounded approach that includes reading, writing, speaking, listening, and grammar.

You will leave with methods you can implement immediately, along with a clearer framework for leading a successful Latin classroom.

Pre-conference | Wednesday, June 24 | 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
