Ranya Bailey grew up in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Canada. She holds a Bachelor of Science in biology with a focus in biochemistry, molecular biology, and genetic research and a Doctor of Medicine degree with a residency in family medicine. She left the practice of medicine when her first child was born and now has five children and one granddaughter. Before joining Wilson Hill, she taught in homeschool and homeschool co-op settings for 12 years. Now in her tenth year with Wilson Hill Academy, she has taught grade 7 math and Ancient History/Literature as well as Honors and AP Chemistry in the School of Rhetoric. She now also serves Wilson Hill leadership as the Headmaster of the Upper School. Ranya is now living in Atlanta, GA. She enjoys time with her family reading, cooking, hiking and watching international soccer tournaments — something that is very close to home in 2026!
