The best preparation for any assessment should be the work taking place in the classroom. This talk provides insights into how to avoid “teaching to the test” and what using testing data could look like for classical schools.
Classical education seeks to train students to know and love what is true, good, and beautiful while also training them to be life-long learners. A standardized assessment should aid in the skill evaluation of the second without disrupting the first. Attendees should leave this talk with a better idea of how to use testing data in a way that provides valuable feedback for implementation without disrupting their core goals as a classical school.
