In a time when music is everywhere, the formative power of singing together is often forgotten. This session encourages and guides attendees in restoring communal singing practice, showing through Scripture and historic example how the ACCS is most poised to recover this blessed work of building one another up through song.
Like Coleridge’s line, “Water, water, everywhere, nor any drop to drink,” music surrounds us, yet its formative power can seem elusive for schools filled with Christians preparing future churchmen to be thankful stewards of song and of “The Good Life” we taste now in miniature and will know fully in the “life to come.” This session aims to clarify a work (singing) often hidden in plain sight, focusing on key principles that help communal song bless, shape, and unify our schools with simplicity and joy.
