Physical Education is more than fitness and games — it’s formation. This session showcases how to integrate biblical principles with the classical trivium in your physical education classroom, allowing students to see physical activity as worship and discipline.
Attendees will gain knowledge of how a quality classical physical education class can apply the trivium to movement, cultivates a wonder of joy by creating games that tie to scripture, ancient civilization, and heroic virtues, and showcases a pursuit of truth, beauty, and goodness through sportsmanship, rules, and teamwork. Attendees will see how to connect memory verses to physical education and leave with a variety of sample games, biblical tie-ins, virtue activities, and ancient-themed units. Attendees will gain the confidence to elevate their PE programs from a “recess with rules’, to true Formation.
