What is the Trivium again, and how do I practically apply it in my classroom? Using the five core habits of grammar, the five common topics of logic, and the five canons of rhetoric, this workshop will explore tangible ways to implement classical methodology across all subjects and ages. Whether you’re new to classical education or a seasoned veteran, this workshop will inspire and challenge your notion of the trivium.
This would help break barriers between Grammar, Logic, and Rhetoric and can provide teachers with ways to think outside their “stage.” This will provide teachers at different levels with an appreciation of where are students have been (Grammar) and where they’re going (L&R) in a way that allows greater integration across the school and across subjects. This could also help bridge the gap between philosophy of education and practicality of classroom application. I would solicit ideas from the attendees and provide space to include tools and methods shared by others.
