Capturing important historical dates, events, and people through the joy of song is a cornerstone of the Grammar stage. This session demonstrates how to make memorization fun and engaging in the classroom.
I have created a curriculum supplement for Grammar teachers to use when teaching the timeline for the Middle Ages. It includes songs that are specific for each week’s subject matter culminating in comprehensive end of year timeline presentation. Students love learning factual information through song and they recall it as they move through the Logic and Rhetoric years. This supplement may be used in conjunction with several commonly used classical curricula.
